What strikes me most is how capitalism gets slammed with the blame on the poor status of the food industry. Regulations protecting corporations who produce dangerous food and hire illegal workers is not capitalism (the corporations essentially don't have to compete under the same rules as small co's). Regulations that punish farmers for producing their own crop, protect corporate giants from "libel", and attempt to prevent the industry from being profitable for organic farmers is not capitalism, it's corporate statism. If a regulatory agency comes to your doorstep and forces you to build a $300000 housing unit for your chickens before you are allowed to sell your product due to "threat of disease" from being outdoors, that is not capitalism. The quality of food education is also fairly terrible (and also heavily influenced by big agra), especially considering that quality of food is the most important precursor to quality of life.

Well Said! It goes to show that there is more to things than we may know. Knowing what's in your food and doing something about it are extremely important to your health and the state of our society.

NOw that I know we have a choice to beat the Corp AMerica just by buying the right food to Help pass Kevin law. I now will stand with Kevins mom! It's truly pathetic they don't want to change. However, we can make a difference if we choose to.

Excellent docu-movie which once again highlights U.S government failing to protect its people, but blatantly taking advantage of them with corrupt, fore mentioned industry people being placed in deliberate positions in congress that ultimately gives a final say on laws and bills passed... which is more horrible. The food in how its mass produced and modified or the government which controls the process of evil. "The best way to keep a country is to keep it poor' Joseph Stalin.

The song at the end is another example of why we're in this mess. Thieves, singing about this is "their" land. Natives knew that you must live in cooperation, but these savages are disguised... as civilized beings.

i wish that were true here. I bet you could buy 10 burgers with 1 pound of tomatoe on them for less then you'd spend on just 1 pound of tomatoes.

The only reason it doesen't mean anything to you, is because You yourself aren't willing to do anything about it. You like being controlled and told what to do and what to think. They know you'll just throw up your hands and say, there ain't nothing we can do about it. Don't worry about changing the world, just your world. You can do something. The question is will you?
